Hadyia a pregnant eleven years old orphan escapes from her village after having been forced to marriage. She takes the road to freedom alone with her goat whose milk she will use to survive. Sometimes when she drinks the milk she feels her mum is talking to her. Director’s Quote: In war and in poverty the first to be sacrificed are young girls. Hadyia, un’orfana incinta di undici anni, scappa dal suo villaggio dopo essere stata costretta a sposarsi. Prende la strada verso la libertà da sola con la sua capra, il cui latte userà per sopravvivere. A volte, quando beve il latte, sente sua madre che le parla. “In guerra e nella povertà, le prime a essere sacrificate sono le giovani ragazze. Vendute come mogli, come prostitute, le giovani ragazze sono le prime a essere tolte dalla scuola e le ultime a essere portate in ospedale” Afferma la regista.
Diretto dalla talentuosa Ilaria Borelli, il film esplora temi complessi della natura umana, della resilienza e dello spirito indomito dell’anima umana.
