David Messina is a gruff and solitary writer who has survived the horrors of the Holocaust. Now elderly, he is facing the latest challenge of his life. In the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease, David fears that his memory and history are destined to disappear. Despite his memories fading and his writing abilities being put to the test, David is determined to complete his final tale. With the help of a mysterious young girl, Ester, and his daughter Sara, with whom he has always had a cold and distant relationship, David embarks on an emotional journey that leads him to delve into the depths of his fears and emotions to finish the story that means so much to him. As he releases all the anger and bitterness accumulated over years of solitude, David finally realizes the true importance of human relationships and the love that surrounds him the only tools to pass on his own story as a legacy.
