Chente & His Endless Playing Harp is a story of a young man who finds himself drowning in his own thoughts and existence. That is until he meets Chente, a wise man who helps him unravel the secrets of life’s true meaning.

Charting two nights and two days in the life of a woman attempting to navigate the near-aftermath of the death of her husband, and her children’s father, whilst in the fog of numbing, directionless grief. Camping in the woods provides some measure of escape for her and her children but when this fragile equilibrium is disturbed she is forced to confront her loss head-on.

Xiao Liu returns to his hometown to visit his grandmother, who is critically ill and in a coma. In an attempt to grow closer to Xiao Liu, his grandfather takes him into the wilderness to hunt wild dogs. Late at night, the grandchild discusses the love between his grandparents in the past, and whether his grandmother feels pain. While the two decide to cook his grandmother’s favorite dish overnight, the bedridden grandmother suddenly opens her eyes…
