Laura Salvai
Hello
Laura Salvai
About Me
Laura Salvai is a psychologist, psychotherapist, clinical sexologist and EMDR therapist, whose work is deeply rooted in the narrative method. She considers storytelling not only a therapeutic tool, but a fundamental way through which human beings give meaning to their inner and relational worlds.
Alongside her clinical practice, she has cultivated a longstanding passion for cinema and its psychological and symbolic dimensions. She is the creator of Psychofilm (psicofilm.it), a project exploring the dialogue between film and psychology, where movies become a lens through which to investigate emotions, identity and existential themes.
A writer as well, she has published several short stories with different publishing houses, further expressing her strong connection with narrative forms. Her interest in creativity extends to visual arts, including instant analog photography and collage, reflecting her attention to detail and to the evocative power of images.
Her perspective naturally resonates with contexts that explore the deeper questions of existence, transformation and meaning. In this sense, her participation in the jury brings a gaze that is both clinical and narrative, attentive to the emotional, symbolic and storytelling layers of cinema.
