Darío Vargas Linares, a Colombian film and television director, was born in 1957. For a long time, he worked in television productions, mainly soap operas and drama series. After a long period in strategic communication, he returned to directing with short films, such as Un Caballo en la Alcoba (winner of two awards at the Life Beyond Life Film Festival 2024) and El Catalejo, which is set to be released soon. He is currently finishing the script for his first feature film, Policiaco sin crimen, which is scheduled to be shot in the summer of 2025.
